Kerry Roberta Waldron was born on March 19, 1955 in Chicago, Illinois. Her parents, Bob and Marie “Bunny” Waldron raised Kerry and her siblings, Wendy and Gary, in West Rogers Park.  In 1973, Kerry graduated from St. Scholastica Academy where she made lifelong friendships. 

When she was 20 years old, she moved to Long Beach, California with her dear friends Claudia and Vivian. In 1977, Kerry gave birth to her son Dean, who was the light of her life. If you knew Kerry, you knew how proud she was of her sweet son. Dean inherited many of Kerry’s qualities, including her sense of humor, generosity, honesty, and ability to make others feel loved.

We couldn’t remember Kerry without mentioning her love of animals. She had many pets over the years, and has been known to nurse a baby bird back to health, but her dogs always had a special place in her heart. Her partner Kerry Marsh shared this love for animals and their home was always filled with love, laughter, and their four-legged friends. 

Kerry was preceded in death by her father, Bob; her mother, Bunny; and her beloved brother, Gary. Kerry’s love and kindness will live on through her son Dean and his fiancee Meredith; her partner, Kerry Marsh; her sister, Wendy Waldron; her niece, Katie; her nephews, Christopher and Danny; and her many, many friends. 

Kerry’s wish was for her loved ones to celebrate her life and not mourn her absence. Apart from her family and friends, music was one of her greatest joys. So whenever you hear a song that moves you, know that Kerry is singing along with you. 

At Kerry’s request, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice.
