Bert Jerold Miller of Boise, Idaho, passed away March 25, 2017 at home, surrounded by family and friends. He lived 101, full, adventuresome years. Bert was born August 13, 1915 in Opheim, Montana. He grew up in Whitefish and Columbia Falls, Montana with his four brothers, Chuck, Don, Kenneth, James and parents, Emma and Bert Miller.

Bert's wives, Margaret Redsing, Ann Sinigiani and his special companion, Marj Mitchell pre-deceased him. In his lifetime, Bert successfully worked at many different trades, he also invested, developed and managed a great deal of real estate.

Bert was exceptionally active his entire life. He also put his energy toward helping others throughout his life. Bert was recognized as Idaho's Brightest Star Volunteer of the Year. He was generous in his philanthropy, supporting the Girl Scouts, Idaho Youth Ranch, Boise Rescue Mission, City of Lights, Idaho Food Bank and the YMCA.
