Michael Wayne Baker born August 14, 1946  passed in his sleep September 21, 2017  at his home in Boise,Id.. He was the son of Virgil Wayne Baker and Martha Mary Reinhardt Baker.  Born in Urbana. Mike spent childhood in Philo and Champigne IL., hunting and fishing all wild life, learning these skill from his father and uncles.  He passed these skills on, teaching his brothers Jeff , Tom, daughter Lisa and son Steven and many step children.

            After graduating from high school in Champigne 1964, he moved to Chicago where he graduated  from DeVry Technical Institute.  Having a love of computers he worked over 30 years throughout many states and  many computers companies such as ITT Technical Institute , M-K, PAR, Tandem, NCR, towards the idea of the advancement of  computertechnology .He retired from dialysis as a bio med tech.

            After a period of prospecting in many areas of northwest he found himself returning to Idaho for the thrill of outdoors.  For a time he taught at ITT. During this time he met present wife Laurene (Rene),who also had a thirst for adventure.

            They did find time to work until retiring and being snow birds in the southwest. Many wonderful trips were shared.

            When  home, he could be found with his Toto dogs (cairns terriers), who were his close buddies, and working on projects in his garage.                                                                             

            Survived by Laurene (Rene) Baker wife,   Daughter Lisa (Bob) Schloss, their four sons and wife's,Scott, James, Nate and Thomas, Steven Baker  son and family, Tom (brother) wife  Mickey, Jeff (brother) and family, many step-children.

            There will be no services.  Condolences to be shared with family on line registry at Cremation Society of Idaho.

In-lieu of flowers, donation to Idaho Humane Society in his name, or charity of your choice.
