Tribute

In loving memory of Gary G. Cliff.

Born on Thursday July 25th 1946 to Bob and Evelyn Cliff. Gary was the eldest of three boys. Gary passed away Thursday August 22nd 2019 in Boise Idaho at home surrounded by his family. Gary was a beloved husband to Kathy cliff, a loving father to 6 children Jeff(Shawna), Jason, Hoby, Kame (Hector), Nichole Brooklyn (Stephen), Cj (Gena). Gary was an amazing Big Brother to Rick (Penny) and Randy (Jan) He was a fantastic Grandpa to 24 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was an Uncle to many nieces and nephews and a cousin as well. Gary was born in Oklahoma and in his younger years moved to Idaho where he continued to grow, go to school, and eventually start his family. Throughout his years he had many talents. Dad used to joke that he was Bruce Lee and boy could he do a great impression. When dad wasn't hard at work he was enjoying his free time. Dad loved to do wood work building anything he could, shelves, Cedar chests for us kids, picture frames whatever it was he could build it. Dad loved to golf and watch sports. Baseball, basketball, football you name it, he watched it. Dad really enjoyed to sit out on the porch with a Winston in his hand and a good cup of hot coffee cursing the leaves as they fell from the giant tree in the front yard. That tree was Dad's nemesis for 15 years. He would spend the morning raking up and bagging all the leaves only to go inside and come out an hour later to see the ground covered in leaves already. If you ask Dad what he was doing he would say "sitting here watching the idiot Box being lazy trying to get away with as little as possible". I think we can all agree that Dad was pretty darn amazing and we're all going to miss him, especially his fur buddy Chewy. Gary is survived by his loving wife Kathy and proud children. He is proceeded in death by his parents Bob and Evelyn Cliff and his son Jason Cliff. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Cholangiocarcinoma foundation in Dads name.
