Frances "Frank" Nelson Worden

On Wednesday, June 22, 2022 Frank Worden passed away at the age of 88. He is survived by his wife, Sandy Worden, his four children, Karen Johnson (Lonnie), Diane Martoia (Chuck), Gary Worden (Georgene), Randy Worden (Linnea), 10 Grandchildren, 25 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great Great Grandchildren, 4 brothers, Victor Worden, Joe Worden, John Worden, & Mike Worden, plus numerous family members.

He was born on August 8, 1933 in Turon, Kansas to Frederick & Nita “Wirt” Worden.  He was one of nine children, seven brothers and one sister.  Frank moved to California at the age of 9 living first in Fresno working in fruit camps.  His family worked their way up the valley going from fruit camp to fruit camp until they decided to settle in Livingston, California.

He eventually met his wife, Sandy, and they were married for 57 years.  Frank & Sandy raised 4 children in Northern California, where he worked on several bridges and other building projects.  Being away from home so much prompted them to start their own construction company, which was a huge success.  He operated the construction company from June 1976 to June 1995.  They specialized in custom built homes and light construction.  Frank & Sandy retired to Idaho to be close to their children & grandchildren.

He had many hobbies & interests which included snow skiing, golfing, playing baseball, & gardening.  Gardening was definitely his favorite and he was a master gardener. His green thumb is no doubt a gift from God and his vegetable & flower gardens always flourished and were beautiful. He was well known for his amazing cucumbers and tomatoes and gladly shared his bounty with his family & friends. Frank had many likes but he had very few loves.  His love for his wife and children were at the top of the list.

Frank was a proud Conservative Republican and loved his country.

He has been an active member of the Cloverdale Church of God and never wanted to miss a Sunday. His Memorial Service will be held at his home church 3655 S Cloverdale Rd Boise, Idaho on Friday, July 8 @ 7:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his name to Alzheimer’s Disease Research.
