Forrest "Frosty" Mehaffey

Forrest “Frosty” Mehaffey, 81, of Nampa, ID, passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at the Veterans Administration Community Living Center in Boise. 

Frosty was born on July 11, 1941 in Wichita, Kansas to Ruth Elizabeth Brown and Raymond Allen Mehaffey.  He married Linda Wiles in May of 1979. He worked in a variety of places over his lifetime, but retired from Centennial Golf Course where he worked as aj groundskeeper.  He was a tinkerer and an avid reader, and loved working in his yard, repairing cars and helping his neighbors. He was proud to be a United States Marine.

He is survived by his wife, Linda; his children, Stacey Mehaffey of Nampa, ID Melody Love and Andrew Lancaster of Boise, ID and Bryan and Katie Wiles of West Jordan, UT; his grandchildren, Christian Mehaffey, Nathaniel Rawlings, Aidan Rawlings, AprilMay Love, Thomas Love, Jazlyn Love, Alexander Love, Tatiana Love, Madison Wiles, Owen Wiles, Maci Lancaster and Josiah Lancaster; his great grandchildren Damien, Arabella, Matthew and Elias; his brothers Daniel and David Maxin. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Elizabeth Brown, His step father, Charles Wilber Brown and his brother Phillip Richard Mehaffey. 

In lieu of flowers, donations to Wounded Warrior Project, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or the Idaho Humane Society would be appreciated.  Thank you to the Veterans Administration Community Living Center and St. Luke’s Nampa Medical Center for his care, Cremation Society of Idaho and Idaho State Veterans Cemetery.
