Edward (Ed) LeGrand Howard passed away at home November 10, 2022. He was 71 years old.
Ed grew up in Meridian, Idaho and graduated from Meridian High School in 1969. He met the love of his life, Linda Fisk, when he was just 15 years old. They were married on July 17, 1969. He was drafted to the Army in April 1970 and served his country stationed in Germany. Linda joined him for a year, and he was discharged in January 1972.
After being back in Boise for 2 years, Ed and Linda moved to Kuna, where their children were born: Tena in 1974, Nate in 1977, and Katie in 1979. He loved his family, playing music, and iron work.
Ed played Country & Western music with his band Sudden Comfort until 1987 and then with the Tucker Family Band for several more years. He was proud to be an ironworker by trade and loved walking the big iron. He worked for K2 Construction for over 20 years.
He moved to Donnelly and loved his mountain home there, making great memories with his family and many great friends during his nearly 20 years living there. He moved back home to Kuna 2 years ago. He will be missed by so many whose lives he touched.
He is predeceased by his parents Ralph and Mamie Howard, two brothers Wesley and Robert, two sisters Katherine and Lois, and a sister-in-law Ginny Fetters. He is survived by his wife Linda; children Tena (Tim) Spencer, Nate (Tami) Howard, Katie (Eric) Miller; five grandchildren: AJ, Dylan, Luke, Sam (Josh), Zach; three great grands: Braeden, Jaxon, Olivia; brothers Charles and Lorenzo (Charlye) Howard; sisters Pauline (Jim) Fisher, Kay (Mike) Vargason, Jeannette (Bill) Shaffer; brothers-in-law Gary (Linda) Heikes and Randy Fetters; and way too many nieces and nephews to count.
Join us at a party to celebrate his legacy on Saturday, December 3 at the Crooked 8 Event Center at 1882 E. King Road, Kuna, Idaho, from 3 to 6 pm. Instead of flowers, please feel free to donate to your favorite charity.
