Billie Jean Bane Whitsitt

May 21, 1937 – February 15, 2022

Born in Sasakwa, Oklahoma, Billie was born on May 21, 1937 to Thomas Jefferson Bane and Bernice Suttles.

Billie married Ronald Elder and had four sons – Larry (Stephany). Thomas (Sharon), Steven (Lori), and Rick (Brenda). She has ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Billie divorced Ronald and married Bud Hammer in 1972, and he passed away in May of 1987. Billie then met William Whitsitt in June 1987, and they were married on December 31, 1987.

After marrying William, she got a wonderful new family too. Bill’s brothers Jerry (Bobbie), Gaylord (Donna) – after Donna’s passing, Gaylord married Kay who is a wonderful person, and  Billie also got four more children – Greg (Ella) Whitsitt, Vicky (Rocky), Angela Berkenbile, and R.J. and Danielle Whitsitt; along with nine more grandchildren and six more great-grandchildren.

Bill and Billie had a wonderful life doing what they loved, while enjoying their families and trips to the hills.

Billie loved dancing and had won many contests where she received many trophies, she also loved fishing and camping and going to the Oregon coast and to Jackpot on her birthdays. And her favorite lake in the mountains was Horsethief, and the ducks would come right up to her and take pieces of bread from her. Billie loved all the wild birds and animals and mountain scenery and all the beautiful wild flowers.
