Barbara Diane Schnepp

January 10, 2018 ~ January 10, 2018

Barbara Diane Schnepp, known to family and friends as Diane, passed away on January 10th. She had been battling severe illness for over two years. Born to Bill and Beverly Blair in Ontario, Oregon. When she was five, Diane was adopted by her stepfather, Robert Perkins, whom she dearly loved. Robert, Bev and Diane moved to Salem, Oregon, where she grew up, graduating from high school there. After High School Diane lived in various states, finally settling in Vale, Oregon with her husband, Lee Schnepp. She worked in various occupations. Diane was not only known as hard worker, but also a treasured friend, helping others in whatever way she could. Diane had a love for animals, especially cats.

After Diane and Lee were married, Diane took Lee’s son John, under her wing and became a devoted second mom to him. She was delighted when John married, and she became a grandmother of three boys. John lived nearby, so Diane could enjoy time with John and her grandsons. She went to their activities whenever she was able. The three grandsons formed their own Motocross team called the Mohawk Militia, and wore Mohawk hairstyles. Diane promised them for one of their races she’d wear her hair in a Mohawk style, and in typical Diane fashion, she did. A brightly multi-colored Mohawk! How many grandmas would do that?

Diane and Lee ran an antique store in Vale for many years, until health issues took their toll. Diane loved gardening, family, friends, and snuggling with her cats.

She is survived by her husband Lee, her son John and her grandsons, family members Jeff, Jeana and daughter, Bobbi Brazington and Russell Blair, her mother Beverly Perkins of Fruitland Idaho, and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father Bill Blair and his wife Donna, her adoptive father Robert Perkins, Lee’s parent’s Bud and Virginia.

Memorial services will be scheduled at a later date.
