Arturo Kern Hernandez passed away on July 10, 2021. He was born on September 27, 1998 in Eugene, OR to Brandy Kern and Arturo Martinez Hernandez. He is survived by his sister, Emely, and his father, Arturo. Arturo was known as “Porky” when he was younger and by “Turro” to his close friends and family. Turro was funny, adventurous, fearless, and a bit stubborn. He could crack jokes no matter the situation and always made those around him laugh.
His passions included skateboarding, watching anime, and eating. Turro would eat just about anything, but he especially loved pizza and corn dogs. He was very passionate about the work he did as a telecom lineman. Arturo graduated from Capital High School in Boise, Idaho in 2017 and received a full-ride scholarship to attend Northwest Lineman College. He loved climbing and enjoyed the lineman work and all it had to offer. For his 18th birthday, he went skydiving and from that day forward he wanted to be in a career that brought him thrill. He chased the crazy things life had to offer and always wanted to go bungee jumping and wingsuit flying.
Turro always stayed strong and pushed forward in life regardless of the things he had to endure. He brought smiles to many faces and our friends and family will always remember the memories we shared. He will be greatly missed.
A celebration of life will be held at on Sunday, August 1st at 2 pm at Casa Mexico at 10332 W Fairview Ave #104, Boise, ID 83704.
