I knew of Renny's bile duct cancer for awhile. Renny called me about one month before he passed away to let me know that his doctor gave him six month to live. I told him how sorry I was to hear that. I asked him if he was spiritually ready as I thought he had accepted Christ in his teens. He told me that he didn't believe in an after life but I could tell he was receptive. I told him I would rather believe in something rather than nothing.
I contacted our cousin Bob Craft a missionary with the Nazarene Church who was in Thailand at that time. He had some long conversations with Renny. I can only pray that he got right before passing on. He had told me previously he would be cremated without a funeral. I had purchased a plane ticket to visit him on Feb. 28, sadly I did not get to visit with him.
His dad Curtis Huffman passed on in 1988, mother Mildred Hesterley Huffman in 2008, and Paula Huffman Strickland in 2015. Survived by brothers Jerry Huffman of Hartwell, GA. and Joseph Huffman of Twin City, GA.

We just received a call from Renny's brother Jerry notifying us of Renny's passing on the 11th of this month. We spoke to Renny what feels like only days ago. He must have passed away within hours or only days after we spoke to him. I (Steve) had been meaning to telephone him for several days now to discuss his recently discovered health problems.. His passing was certainly sooner than we expected and too late to make that call.. So sorry to hear of his passing.
