Philomena Jacksina

December 23, 1925 ~ May 13, 2017 (age 91) 91 Years Old

Philomena  M. Jacksina, 91 ("Phil" to those that knew her) went to Heaven on May 13, 2017 in Boise, Idaho.

She was born on December 23, 1925 in Ware, Massachusetts to Michael and Julia Czaja. The youngest of seven children. She went to school and work at her brothers store in Ware, Massachusetts until she met the love of her life Glennon R. Jacksina who was in the United States Air Force and stationed at Westover Air Force base in Massachusetts. In 1952 they were married. They had three children John, Beverly and Glenn. Together they were stationed at many different Air Force bases during the 28 year career including Delaware, Germany, France, North Africa. California and Alaska. In 1978 retirement brought them to Tampa, Florida where she lived until 2016 when she moved to Boise, Idaho with her daughter.

Phil was a very sweet loving, caring and positive wife, mother, grandmother and sister.  Everyone she met called her there "Earth Angel". She always had a smile on her face and a friendly hello for anyone who crossed her path. She was loved and will be missed by so many. 

Phil enjoyed traveling, playing bingo, fishing, camping and cooking. One of her favorite things to do was spending time with her only grandson Nathan Hampel, especially when they would go to different  beaches and look for sea shells. She had a very strong Catholic faith and when she was able went to church everyday.

Phil is preceded in death by her husband Glennon, her sons John and Glenn, her parents Michael and Julia, sister Helen and  brothers Patrick, Albert, Boleslaw and Joseph.

Survived by her daughter Beverly Hampel, Boise, Idaho her grandson Nathan Hampel, Huntington Beach, California. sister Jane Bullan Ware, Massachusetts and many nieces and nephews.

We will never stop loving and missing her. Our shared memories of great times together will remain in our hearts always and forever. Until we met again.

A funeral mass will be held 10am Tuesday October 3, 2017 at St Mary's Church 17 North St. Ware, Massachusetts 01082. Burial will be following mass at St. Mary's Cemetery in Ware, Massachusetts
