Hoyle Eugene Moore was born in Rutherford County, North Carolina; November 5, 1941.    Upon graduating from Leicester High School, he enlisted in the Air Force.  He always said, “I joined the Air Force to see the world.”  Following basic training he was assigned to Glasgow, Montana for his entire enlistment.

While there he met Doris Nelson; they were married in 1964. Hoyle and Doris raised their children, Eric, Gretchen and Kurt in Lewistown, Montana.  After 35 years, their retirement led them to Kuna, Idaho.  Hoyle had enjoyable working years at Snowy Mountain Meats, Casino Creek Concrete and volunteering at the Kuna Food Bank.

Hoyle is survived by his wife, Doris, and children; Eric of Williston, ND, Gretchen Hill (Steven) of Kuna, ID and Kurt of Missoula, Mt.  His siblings Ethel, Carl, Max and Joe.  His grandchildren Zach (Brittany), Bailey, Ellie, Riley, Tate, Evie Jo and great granddaughter Abigail.  He had many cherished family and friends both near and far; Hoyle loved his Lord and family. 

Hoyle was preceded in death by his parents, Cletus and Nora Moore, brother Ray, sister Brenda, brothers-in-law Paul Savage, Bill Westby, Carl and David Nelson also nephews Tony Moore and Clint Nelson.

Hoyle passed away on October 10th after a short but valiant struggle with cancer.  His service will be on Saturday, October 14th at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran in Boise.  Hoyle’s celebration of life will be held at the Kuna Event Center following the service; a burial will be at a later date in Opheim, Montana.

To honor his wishes, memorial gifts will be given to St. Al’s Cancer Care Unit and Keystone Hospice.”
